EUTOPIA TeamWork students testimonials

In March 2025, 10 CY Cergy Paris University students took part in the EUTOPIA TeamWork programme, where they were distributed in teams of 6 members (cross-university, cross-study level cross-discipline). Each student team worked for 4 weeks online on a challenge provided by an organisation (company, NGO), and supported every week by a mentor of this organisation. Here are 2 testominials from 2 CY Cergy Paris University students.

Alycia Galais : "During Teamwork 2025, I had the opportunity to remotely work with five students from European universities, under the guidance of a highly experienced professional. Despite one team member dropping out from the project at the beginning, we managed to stay strong as a team and successfully delivered a final report on business compliance with legislation for an institution in Germany. We conducted research, identified solutions, explored various complex issues related to the topic and orally presented our report. Our collaboration was effective, and I was able to build connections not only with my fellow students but also with our mentor. This program helped me feel more comfortable speaking English, taking initiative, and working in a group setting. It also gave me a first taste of professional life through regular scheduled meetings and individual assignments with deadlines. It was a truly valuable experience, and I would definitely do it again."

Hugo Oliveira : "I worked for a company from the UK to implement an artificial intelligence tool process as part of the ISO 27001 standard acquisition. We had four weeks to set up this comprehensive and efficient process for implementing various artificial intelligence tools as part of the ISO certification. I learned how to divide up the work. My mission was to find and implement phishing artificial intelligence tools. I was with four English students and one Norwegian student. Since they know my English isn't perfect, everyone strives to speak slowly and make themselves understood. This experience is ideal because, whatever your project, you'll learn a lot about teamwork and intercultural challenges."
