Institute of Security Sciences (I2S) by PJGN x CY Cergy Paris University

Wednesday, January 5th, 2022 marks the signing of the agreement to create the Institute of Security Sciences (I2S) with the Judicial Pole of the National Gendarmerie (PJGN) and CY Cergy Paris University.

The Institute of Security Sciences (I2S) aims to create synergies in research, training and development, in the fields of security and forensic sciences and has the following missions:
  • conduct research projects for operational purposes,
  • support innovation and competitiveness,
  • develop prototypes transferable to operational forces,
  • develop CY Forensic School, the first French application school dedicated to forensic sciences.

CY Forensic School and the research federation, made up of several private and public partners, have already initiated 12 doctoral programs and 9 collaborative projects including 1 ANR PRCI, 2 CHEMI, and a H2020 project, with the School of Forensic Science of Lausanne (UNIL ) and the University of Quebec Trois Rivières, and will participate in the structuring of a research center of excellence in the sciences of security and forensics, in the territory of Cergy.
