Networks and flagship projects
CY Cergy Paris Université draws on a portfolio of 24 priority international partnerships, selected according to rigorous criteria.
The diversity and cross-disciplinary nature of the projects, the integration of mobility schemes, academic and scientific collaborations, the ability to secure funding, and close ties with stakeholders in partner regions: these collaborations are also designed to align with the university’s key areas of expertise.
CY Cergy Paris Université’s international strategy is also based on active engagement in several international networks and consortia, designed as genuine tools for structuring and impact:
- an alliance of European universities of which CY Cergy Paris Université is a founding member. Beyond mobility schemes, the EUTOPIA alliance acts as a catalyst for organisational transformation, promoting new practices in governance, open science and science diplomacy. The alliance supports innovative physical and virtual mobility schemes, notably through connected communities and the Ecotopia programme, the development of joint supervision of theses, and mobility schemes for lecturers and research-led lecturers, as well as structural projects and seed funding initiatives, such as EUTOPIA Health.
- two consortia. CY Cergy Paris Université is a member and coordinator of the consortium of French universities, alongside the French University of Egypt (UFE). This consortium brings together seven partner universities and aims to strengthen Franco-Egyptian academic and scientific cooperation, support joint training programmes, and promote student and staff mobility. The university is also involved in the consortium of the University of Science and Technology of Hanoi (USTH), a strategic partnership combining education, research and innovation. This framework offers opportunities for development, particularly in relation to bachelor’s degree programmes in chemistry and biology, in line with the expertise of CY Cergy Paris Université.
- a Franco-X CY Cergy Paris University campus at ZUST. This institute, dedicated to the city of the future, fosters academic and scientific collaboration on contemporary urban, environmental and societal challenges, particularly in the fields of civil engineering and big data.
- three international partner laboratories (LIA): LIA GC Cameroon, SenergyLab and IPAL in Singapore. These partnerships facilitate joint publications, joint supervision of doctoral theses, researcher mobility and the development of joint projects, whilst enhancing the international visibility of the teams at CY Cergy Paris Université.
- a strong commitment to the Francophone academic community. CY Cergy Paris Université plays an active role within the Francophone University Agency (AUF). The university is home to the only Francophone digital campus – the Local Centre of Excellence (CEL) – in Western Europe, demonstrating its commitment to Francophone academic cooperation. CY Cergy Paris Université also contributes to key initiatives such as the AUF–EUTOPIA report on scientific diplomacy, as well as the PDFI and PIMEF programmes, which support training, educational innovation and employability.
