Make your administrative registration
Do I need to make an appointment ?
Yes, administrative registrations with the individual mobility department are by appointment only.
How do I make an appointment?
By sending an email to the address bureauetrangers@ml.u-cergy.fr.
Can I register online?
No, administrative registrations with the individual mobility unit are done in person, by appointment.
What documents are required for administrative registration?
For administrative registration, you must bring your registration confirmation, a passport photo, a copy of your passport and visa, copies of your diplomas and transcripts translated into French, as well as proof of payment of the CVEC (Student and Campus Life Contribution) and your bank card for payment of fees.
Do I need to have my documents translated into French?
Yes, the documents must be translated into French by a sworn translator.
Do I need to provide original documents?
A good quality photocopy is sufficient for registration.
What is the CVEC?
The CVEC is the Student and Campus Life Contribution. This contribution of €105 is mandatory and is intended to support the reception and social, health, cultural, and sporting activities of students, and to strengthen prevention and health education initiatives for their benefit.
How to pay the CVEC?
To pay the CVEC and obtain your certificate, go to the CVEC website and click on "Get my certificate".
How do I obtain my school certificate?
The school certificate is issued after payment of tuition fees.
How do I get my student card?
Once your administrative registration is complete and your enrollment certificate is issued, your student card will be produced. As soon as it's ready, you'll receive an email to pick it up at the individual mobility center.
Registration fees
How do I pay the registration fees?
Registration fees can be paid by credit card or bank transfer.
Can I pay in 3 installments?
Yes, it is possible to pay in 3 installments by bank card only until October.
Can I pay in cash or by check?
No, it is not possible to pay in cash or by check.
Can I pay with a third party's bank card?
Yes, it is possible to pay with a third party's card if you provide a copy of their identity document and a signed statement from them authorizing you to use their bank card as a means of payment for your registration fees.
Can I get a refund if I cancel my registration?
If you cancel your registration, you will only be eligible for a refund if you cancel before the deadline set by the Registrar's Office.

Make your educational registration
When do I need to register for my course?
Academic registration can be done as soon as administrative registration is finalized by contacting the academic secretariat of your course.
How do I access my digital work environment (ENT)?
Account activation is possible 24 hours after administrative registration with the help of the school certificate on https://compte-numerique.u-cergy.fr.
Renew my residence permit
When should I apply to renew my residence permit?
The renewal application must be made 2 to 4 months before the expiry of the current residence permit.
How do I apply to renew my residence permit?
The renewal application must be made on the digital administration website for foreigners in France (ANEF).
My permit has expired and I am still waiting for my renewal, what should I do?
The Individual Mobility Unit can try to contact your local prefecture. However, this is not guaranteed to be successful. If needed, contact the Individual Mobility Unit at the following address: bureauetrangers@ml.u-cergy.fr.
I am a minor attending school, how do I apply for a residence permit?
The application for a residence permit must be made within 2 months before reaching the age of majority by making an appointment at the prefecture that covers my place of residence.
The prefecture is asking me for a document that I cannot yet provide, what should I do?
While waiting to receive the requested document, you can provide a provisional document or an explanatory letter stating why you are not in possession of the document and/or when you will be able to provide it.
I have moved, how do I change my address?
You can change your address on your ANEF account by going to the "change of situation to declare" tab.
I am Algerian, how do I apply for a residence permit?
The application for a residence permit must be made within 3 months of arrival in France on the ANEF website.
Where can I buy a tax stamp?
The purchase of tax stamps can be done online or at a tobacconist, by bank card or cash (ask for an electronic tax stamp "foreign resident permit").
Fees, which vary depending on the visa, can be found in the Directorate General for Foreigners in France's FAQ.
Accommodation
Can I receive support in my search for accommodation?
To begin your search for accommodation, you can create an account on our accommodation partner's website Studapart.
Can I benefit from Crous accommodation as a student on an individual mobility program?
Crous accommodations are reserved for exchange students, so individual mobility students cannot benefit from them.
